Hi Team!
I’m currently experiencing extremely high failure rates when using Web3Auth’s OTP-based login flow. More than 70% of users fail to receive their OTP code on the first attempt, and many still don’t receive it on the second or even third attempt. This is causing major friction during onboarding.
What’s happening
OTP SMS often never arrive.
Some users only receive codes after several retries.
For others, OTPs fail for multiple attempts in a row.
This behaviour seems inconsistent and difficult to reproduce deterministically.
What I’m trying to figure out
I’m hoping to understand:
Is this a known issue with Web3Auth’s OTP provider?
Has anyone else observed similar failure rates, especially in production environments?
