Hey
I am wondering if its possible to resize the google sign in pop up and the email sign in pop ups
To be the same size and positioning as the Metamask and Phantom ones are
Currently they op up in the middle of the screen and are really big
Where as i would like them to follow suit how Metamask pop ups are taller and skinnier and show up on the right hand side of the page
You’re asking if it’s possible to resize and reposition the Google and Email sign-in pop-ups in Web3Auth, so they match the size and position of Metamask or Phantom pop-ups (taller, skinnier, on the right side of the page instead of centered and large).
Platform & SDK
Platform: Not explicitly stated, but your context and documentation references indicate you’re using the PnP iOS SDK.
SDK: Web3Auth PnP iOS SDK
Current Web3Auth Behavior
For OAuth-based logins (like Google and Email), the Web3Auth SDK opens a browser modal (webview) for authentication. The size and position of these pop-ups are managed by the SDK and, for security and consistency reasons, are generally not customizable. This is different from browser extension wallets like Metamask or Phantom, which control their own UI overlays.
Currently, the Web3Auth SDK does not provide built-in options to customize the size or position of the OAuth login pop-ups on iOS (or on web, for that matter). The modal is intended to be a secure, tamper-proof authentication window, and its appearance is controlled by the underlying system/browser.
If you’re using the Web SDK (for web apps), similar limitations apply: the OAuth pop-up is sized and positioned by the browser for security reasons.
If you’re using custom UI flows or deep linking, some advanced customizations might be possible, but not for the standard OAuth modal.
Why Metamask/Phantom Look Different
Metamask and Phantom are browser extensions or mobile apps that fully control their own UI overlays. Web3Auth, when using OAuth providers, must comply with OAuth security best practices, which include controlling the modal size and position.
Next Steps / Recommendations
If you need a highly customized login experience: You may want to implement your own UI and use Web3Auth’s Custom Authentication flow, but this is much more involved and may not be available for all providers or platforms.
Feature Request: If this is a critical UX need, let us know and we can mark this as a feature request for the Web3Auth team.
TL;DR
Resizing/repositioning OAuth pop-ups is not currently supported in Web3Auth’s SDKs.
This is due to OAuth security and platform limitations.
If you have further context (e.g., are you on web or mobile, or using a custom flow?), let us know and we can advise further.
Let me know if you need more details or want to discuss custom authentication flows!
